Wetlands Sculpture Project
This work is a part of my 'Flow State' research. While rock climbing, the longer you wait the more fatigued you become and the heavier your body feels. The 'Flow State' is a state of optimum performance where decision making becomes rapid and concise.

Clamber is a further evolution in my research of the 'Flow State', aimed specifically at risk taking behaviour and biological influence on people. This artwork and 'Consequence' both create space where the viewer inadvertently heightens their awareness of the physical environment they are within. Photo by Brenton McGeachie

This artwork was a product of meditative and consistent motion to dispel distractions and become enveloped by the action the pendulum. thus creating an oportunity for myself to slip into a 'Flow State' to increase my creative thinking capabilities and lift my mood to continue making art. Counter weighted and balanced. This piece has a performative aspect. When in movement it produces a tense atmosphere of silence.

Spacial interplay
This piece was an experiment with space as a medium. It is an ongoing piece as the fabric takes on the colour of the steel frame. Photo by Mikhaila Jurkiewicz

Reflections
This piece was formed by a painful mould-making process. The out come was a smorgasbord of body parts. We left the hands in this image to add a performance aspect and or the entire process. there was much hair lost in the making of this piece. Photo by Mikhaila Jurkiewicz
This artwork was made as an expression of desire and toil. Photo by Mikhaila Jurkiewicz

Leverage
This artwork was a practice in material balance and a kinetic balance of efforts to outcome.
Artistic rendition of tendon and ligament held in space where it would be biologically correct. Both pieces are balancing.
Grinding wheel, rock and steel. The rhythmic pendulum will eventually grind itself into oblivion, like all things. Even the strength of steel yields to time and motion.
